Tonglou Township
Tonglou Township, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, bordering Xinhua township of Qianjiang District in the East, zhufo Township in the South and West, Sangzhe town in the north and Xiaochang Township in the north. It is 86km away from the government of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with a total area of 37.96km2.
Before 1949, tonglou Township belonged to Tonghe township; in June 1984, it was changed from tonglou commune to tonglou township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Tung Lou township was 5747. As of June 2020, tonglou village has jurisdiction over three administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Tongmuxi.
The main economic crops in tonglou township are peanut, rape, red sorghum, pepper, etc.; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, black goats, cattle and poultry; industry is mainly individual processing industry. History of construction
Before 1949, tonglou Township belonged to Tonghe township.
In January 1951, it was assigned to Datong township.
In January 1953, tonglou township was established in Datong, belonging to the Sixth District.
In February 1956, tonglou was incorporated into Datong township.
In April 1962, tonglou commune was formed by the four member teams of Datong commune, Zhenjia commune and zhufo commune.
In June 1984, tonglou commune was changed into tonglou township.
