Yandong Township
Yandong Township, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the middle of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, bordering Xintian town in the East, wanzu town in the south, Hanjia street in the West and Baojia town in the north. It is 17 kilometers away from the government of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with a total area of 72.25 square kilometers.
In the first year of Kangxi (1662), Yandong township was divided into Yandong Township and Yanshan township. In January 1984, Yandong commune was changed into Yandong township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Dongxiang was 10007. As of June 2020, Yandong township has four administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Dayantang.

History of construction
In 1662, the first year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Yandong Township and Jishan Township respectively.
In 1929, it belonged to the second district regiment. In 1933, it was changed to the first district. In 1939, Jishan township was merged into Yandong township. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the first district was changed into the first guidance District, and Yandong Township still belongs to it. In July 1947, it was transferred to the fourth guidance area.
In February 1958, Yandong township was changed into Yandong commune.
In January 1984, Yandong commune was changed into Yandong township.
