Meiziya Town, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, bordering Shijia township of Qianjiang District in the East, LANGPING township of Youyang County in the south, Anzi town in the West and zhufo Township in the north. It is 68 kilometers away from the government of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with a total area of 69.85 square kilometers.
During the Qing Dynasty, Meiziya town belonged to the Majia party and was at the same level as the township; in 2013, Meiziya town was changed from Meiziya township to Meiziya town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Mei Zi Ya town was 14656. As of June 2020, Meiziya town has one community and six administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed in Meiziya.

History of construction
Meiziya town is named after the many plum trees on Shanya.
During the Qing Dynasty, the majiadang was set up at the same level as the township.
At the beginning of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the Majia party set up Ma's hometown. In 1932, Ma's hometown was renamed Heli township. In 1946, Shuanghe Township and Heli Township were merged, each named Shuanghe township.
In October 1953, Shuanghe township was divided into GAOJIN Township and Baiguo township.
In October 1956, GAOJIN Township and Baiguo Township were merged into Shuanghe township.
In August 1958, Shuanghe township was changed into Shuanghe commune.
In June 1981, Shuanghe commune was renamed Meiziya commune.
In November 1984, Meiziya commune was changed into Meiziya township.
In 2013, Meiziya township was changed from township to town.
