On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties (cfzm [2021] No. 1): the administrative areas of haie village and Haimu village, the former Lianbu Township, were put under the jurisdiction of weizhiluo Township, and weizhiluo Township People's government stationed at group 1, weizhiluo village, No. 79.

Weizhiluo township is under the jurisdiction of Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Zhiluo township was established in 1956, changed to WeiLuo commune in 1972, and restored in 1984.

Weizhiluo township is located in the northeast of the county, 57 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 294 square kilometers and has a population of 3000. There are roads to the countryside. It has four village committees, namely, Luo, nianyan, Weishi and juegu.

Weizhiluo Township mainly produces potato, corn, buckwheat, soybean and rice.
