Tushi Town, subordinate to Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the east of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Mawang and Longtan towns in the East, Liangfengya in the south, Heishui in the west, Shengli reservoir and Yudi Township in the north. It is 15 kilometers away from the residence of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 141.99 square kilometers.

In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), Tushi township was built in the territory; in 2018, Tushi township was replaced by Tushi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Tu town was 23678. As of June 2020, 10 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Tushi Town, and the town people's government is stationed in Tushi village.

History of construction

In 1929, Tushi township was built.

In May 1955, Tushi township was merged into Zhongling Township and Zhongling commune was established.

In June 1983, Zhongling commune set up Tushi township.

In 2018, Tushi township was changed from township to town.
