Shihuang town
Shihuang Town, subordinate to Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, is located in the northwest of Zhongxian County. It is adjacent to Daguan town and guanba town of Liangping County in the East, Sanhui town in the south, Daguan town and Jinji town of Liangping County in the west, and Liangping County in the north. It is 47 kilometers away from Zhongxian government, with a total area of 55 square kilometers.
At the end of Qing Dynasty, Shihuang town belonged to guanba township; in 1992, Shihuang town was built by merging Shihuang and Shuangfeng. By the end of 2018, the population of Shihuang town registered residence was 16402. As of June 2020, Shihuang town has two communities and six administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 228, Jinxing community.
The main food crops in Shihuang town are rice, wheat and corn; the main economic crops are vegetables; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were 27 industrial enterprises in Shihuang Town, including one above scale and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Shihuang town got its name from the original name of the people's Government of Shihuang town.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to guanba township.
In 1931, Shihuang township was established. In 1935, it was incorporated into Chongde united insurance. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was merged into guanba township; in the 30th year of the Republic of China (1941), Shihuang township was rebuilt.
In 1953, Shihuang township was divided into three townships: Liuhe, Shihuang and Shuanglong.
In 1956, the three townships of Liuhe, Shihuang and Shuanglong merged into Shihuang township.
In 1958, Shihuang township was changed into Shihuang commune.
In 1984, Shihuang commune was changed into Shihuang township.
In 1992, Shihuang and Shuangfeng townships merged to build Shihuang town.

In 2011, Shihuang town governs one community of Jinxing, seven administrative villages of Shihuang, Sansheng, Liuhe, Gaoling, Shili, Shuanglong and Guiyan, and one resident group and 51 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Shihuang town has jurisdiction over two communities and six administrative villages: Jinxing community, Shuanglong community, Liuhe village, Sansheng village, Gaoling village, Shili village, Guiyan village and Shihuang village.
