Mozi Tujia Village
Mozi Tujia Township, subordinate to Zhongxian County, Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Zhongxian County, on the South Bank of the Yangtze River, at the north foot of Fangdou mountain. It borders Wanchao township of Shizhu County in the southeast, Wuyang town and Dongxi town in the West and North. It is 28 kilometers away from Zhongxian County Government, with a total area of 31 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Tianqian township; on March 21, 2003, it was changed from Mozi township to Mozi Tujia township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Mozi Tujia township was 18755. As of June 2020, Mozi Tujia township has jurisdiction over one community, seven administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 86 Mozi farm.
In Mozi Tujia Township, rice, wheat and corn are the main food crops; pig and poultry are the main animal husbandry; building materials are the main industry. In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in Mozi Tujia Township, including one above Designated Size and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was a natural moat town.
In 1931, Tianqian township was divided into Mozi township. In 1935, Mozi township was incorporated into pengmo Lianbao. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), pengmo joint insurance was separated into Mozi joint insurance. In 1940, Mozi Lianbao was incorporated into Wuyang township. In 1941, Mozi township was established again.
In 1958, Mozi township was changed into Mozi commune.
In 1984, Mozi commune was changed into Mozi Tujia township.
On March 21, 2003, Mozi township was abolished and Mozi Tujia township was established.
