Yantai town, subordinate to Dianjiang County, Chongqing, is located in the west of Dianjiang County. It is adjacent to Gaofeng Town, Yongping town and Pingshan Town in the East, Heyou town and Baojia town in the south, Changshou District in the West and Chengxi town and Wudong town in the north. It is 20.3km away from Dianjiang County Government, with a total area of 75.86km2.
In the spring and Autumn period, Yantai town belonged to the state of Ba; in September 2001, Yantai town separated from Chengxi town and merged with Wang's hometown. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Yantai town was 44318. As of June 2020, Yantai town has 4 communities and 12 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Yantai town is located at No. 1, Yantai Avenue, Yantai community.

History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Ba.
Qin and Han Dynasties, belong to Bajun.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Western Wei Dynasty, it belonged to Dianjiang County.
In the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Balizhuang; in the reign of emperor Xuantong, it belonged to dongjiachang.
In 1931, Yanshi township was established. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it merged with Dongjia town and became Dongyan township.
In June 1953, Dongyan Township set up Yantai township.
In September 1955, Yantai township was merged into Dongyan township.
In June 1958, Dongyan township was changed into Dongyan commune.
In April 1962, Dongyan commune set up Yantai commune.
In March 1983, Yantai commune was changed to Yantai township.
In 1985, Yantai township was changed to Yantai town.
In 1992, Yantai town was merged into Chengxi town.
In September 2001, Chengxi town demolished Yantai town, and Yantai town merged with Wang's hometown to build Yantai town.
