Wushan Town, belonging to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest corner of Kaizhou district. It borders Yuexi town and Tieqiao town in the East, Wutong Township and Tanzi town in Wanzhou District in the south, BAMIAO Township in Kaijiang County in the West and Jiangzhi town in Kaijiang County in the north. It is 55 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 117 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Wushan town belonged to Kanjia of Wuli mountain; on April 26, 2010, it was changed from Wushan town to Wushan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Wushan town was 31312. As of June 2020, Wushan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 11 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Wushan town is located in Zijing community.
In 2018, Wushan town had 22 industrial enterprises and 50 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Kanjia of Wuli mountain.
In 1930, it belonged to zhongxingchang township. In 1935, it was the United protection of wushankan. In 1940, it was changed to Wushan township.
In September 1958, Wushan township was changed into Wushan commune.
In September 1983, Wushan commune was changed into Wushan township.
In August 2005, Zhongxing township was merged into Wushan township.
On April 26, 2010, Wushan township was changed into Wushan town.
