Regionalization adjustment
Baiyun District of Guangzhou will have 18 streets and 4 towns on the basis of 14 streets and 4 towns. The newly added four streets are composed of Xinshi, Jiahe and Shijing, which are named Yuncheng, Helong, Baiyun Lake and Shimen streets. In the middle of this month, Guangzhou municipal government issued the reply of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government on Approving the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Baiyun District (SFH [2013] No. 138).
Street office staff involved in the adjustment revealed that the city has just approved the administrative division, the Civil Affairs Bureau and other relevant departments are still making adjustment plans, and the boundary of the new street is still under investigation.
A person in charge of the sub district office said that residents' meetings had been held many times to solicit opinions before, and it is believed that the new sub district office will be more convenient for the residents to handle affairs. As for the listing time and the adjustment of the staffing structure, "there is no timetable", and it has to wait for organizational arrangements.
The main areas under the jurisdiction of the new sub district offices are as follows: Xinshi sub district is divided into two and Yuncheng sub district is added. Shijing street is divided into three parts, and Baiyun Lake Street and Shimen Street are added. JUNHE street and Jiahe Street will be changed from two to three, and Helong Street will be added.
