Baishabu town

Baishabu town is the birthplace of filial piety culture and the residential area in the north of Linyi city. It is a suburban ecological town with recuperation service and tourism service as the leading industry.

Baishabu town is located in the north of Linyi City, 12 kilometers away from the urban area, covering an area of 71.63 square kilometers. It governs 50 administrative villages with 77236 people (2017). Zhuqi highway runs through north and south, Dongsi highway runs through East and West. Yihe River flows through the eastern boundary, Xiaohe River and Liuqing river flow through the jurisdiction. The industrial economy has a good foundation, with 335 enterprises of various types, forming four pillar industries, including water meter, textile, biochemical and plastic industries. The output of water meters accounts for 1 / 3 of the whole country, and it is known as the "hometown of water meters"; it is also the largest distribution center of chondroitin sulfate raw materials in China. Agriculture is relatively developed, with more than 20000 mu of cash crops. More than 10 high standard agricultural demonstration parks have been built. Xiaohe lotus root and Xizhi rice are well-known local products.

Linyi North Station of Lunan express railway is located in the east of the north section of Yimeng Road, north of qiaojiahu village, baishabu Town, Lanshan District, about 4.5km away from Changchun Road in the South and about 10km away from the municipal government.

Historical evolution

Baishabu has a long history. In the seventh year of Lu Yin Gong (716 BC) in the spring and Autumn period, Qiuyi was built (the site of the city is now Zhuge Village). It was the Linyi County seat in the Western Han Dynasty and was later abolished. In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Ezhuang township. During the period of the Republic of China, it was the Fourth District of Linyi County. In October 1948, Chashan district was built. Weixing commune was established in 1958, Chashan commune in 1959, baishabu commune in 1981 and a town in 1984. In 1996, it covers an area of 70.3 square kilometers and has a population of 49000. On August 4, 2005, Lanshan district government approved baishabu town to adjust the scale of some administrative villages (linlanzhengfa No. 40): it agreed to merge the original 50 administrative villages into 36 administrative villages. The adjustment plan is as follows: 1. Nandajiang village and beidajiang village are merged into Jiang Village, and the office is located in the former nandajiang village. 2. Shishi road and baishabu are merged into baishabu village, and the office is located in the former baishabu village. 3. Houshiliangtou and qianshiliangtou are merged into shiliangtou village, and the office is located in qianshiliangtou. 4. Yuliang village and Jianshe village are merged into Xiangyang Village, and the office is located in the former Jianshe village. 5. Hongqi new village and penjiazhuang are merged into xinpenzhuang village, and the office is located in the former penjiazhuang village. 6. Lijia village and Youxin village are merged into Youxin village, and the office is located in the former Youxin village. 7. The terrain gradually decreases from north to south, with hills in the north and plains in the south. Xiaohe River and Liuqing river flow through the South and west respectively.
