Qunli Town, belonging to Tongnan District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Tongnan District, adjacent to Longxing town in the East, Guilin street in the south, Yuxi town in the West and Guxi town in the north, with a total area of 48.56 square kilometers.
During the Qing Dynasty, Qunli town belonged to Dongxiang, Pengxi County; in December 1993, it was changed from Qunli town to Qunli town. By the end of 2018, the population of Qunli town registered residence was 21350. As of June 2020, Qunli town has two communities and six administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located at 92 Lixiang street.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Dongxiang of Pengxi county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to dongbeili, Tongnan district. In 1941, Lixiang township was established in Guxi and Yuxi.
In June 1958, Li Xiang society was established.
In August 1967, Li Xiang commune was renamed Qunli commune.
In June 1983, Qunli commune was changed into Qunli township.
In December 1993, it was changed from Qunli township to Qunli town.
