Weilong Town, subordinate to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Tongliang District, connecting Damiao town and Fuguo town in the East, Huaxing town in the south, Yongjia town and gulong Township in Dazu District in the west, Fuguo town and gulong Township in Dazu District in the north, with a total area of 46.5 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, the area around Weilong town was called dingjiachang; in January 1994, Weilong town was built by the combination of Weilong Township, shuangnian Township and Sihe township. History of construction
In the Ming Dynasty, it was called dingjiachang. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1736-1796), it was changed into zhuanlongchang.
In 1917, zhuanlongchang was changed into zhuanlongxiang.
In September 1958, zhuanlong township was transformed into zhuanlong commune.
In December 1983, zhuanlong commune was changed into Weilong township.
In January 1994, Weilong township was merged with shuangnian and Sihe townships to build Weilong town.
