Shayu town
Shayu Town, subordinate to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located in the north of Hechuan District, adjacent to Longshi town in the East, Qiantang town in the south, Jiezi town and Longting Township in wusheng County of Sichuan Province in the West and North. It is 37 kilometers away from the people's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 22.35 square kilometers.
In 1662, the first year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Shayu bridge farm was built in Shayu town. In December 1992, Shayu town was changed from Shayu town to Shayu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Sha Yu town was 17092. As of June 2020, Shayu town has one community, five administrative villages and the people's Government of Shayu town is located at No.1 Mishi street.

History of construction
In 1662, the first year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Shayu bridge farm was built in Shayu town; in the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to mingyueli of Hezhou; in 1906, it belonged to Jinsha township.
In 1926, Shayu township was established as the Fifth District. In 1931, Shayu township was changed to Shayu town. In 1939, it belonged to the third district. In 1941, Shayu town was changed into Shayu town.
After December 1949, it belongs to the ninth district.
In July 1952, it belongs to Qiantang district (the former Fifth District was established).
In March 1953, Guangxian township was built in some of Shayu Township and Huilong township.
In September 1958, Shayu township was changed into Shayu commune.
In 1968, Shayu commune was renamed Chunfeng commune.
In 1972, the original name of sand fish commune was restored.
In December 1983, Shayu commune was changed into Shayu township.
In December 1992, Shayu township was changed into Shayu town.
