Mala Town, subordinate to Qianjiang District of Chongqing City, is located in the southeast corner of Qianjiang district. It is adjacent to Maoba township of Youyang Autonomous County in the East, Jindong Township in the south, Zhuoshui town in the West and Wuli Township in the north. It is 42 kilometers away from the people's Government of Qianjiang District, with a total area of 146.6 square meters.
In song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Mala town was under the jurisdiction of Youyang chieftain. In August 1988, Mala town was replaced by Mala town. By the end of 2018, the population of Malah town registered residence was 18388. As of June 2020, Mala town has one community and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in lianhuabang.

History of construction
Song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties were all under the jurisdiction of Youyang chieftain.
In the 13th year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty (1735), after "changing the land to flow", it belonged to shangxiali of Youyang County.
In 1928, it was the third district of Youyang County.
In March 1952, Beiwu township was divided into the seventh district of Qianjiang County, which was divided into Mala Township, Zaohua Township and Guanzhuang township.
In March 1953, it was separated from Mala township to Yinhe township.
In April 1956, Guanzhuang and Yinhe townships were divided into Mala township.
In May 1958, the Mala commune was rebuilt.
In February 1961, Mala commune established Guanzhuang commune.
In February 1984, Mala commune was withdrawn and renamed malaxiang.
In August 1988, Mala township was replaced by Mala town.
In November 2001, Xiaozhuang township was merged into Mala town.
