Luoyun Township, subordinate to Fuling District of Chongqing, is located in the eastern edge of Fuling District, bordering baoluan town of Fengdu County in the East, Jiaoshi town of Fuling District in the south, Jiangdong Street in the west, Qingxi Town and NANTUO town in the north, with a total area of 72.8 square kilometers and 21 kilometers away from the government residence of Fuling District.
In the Tang and Song Dynasties, Luoyun was already known as Luoyun, which was under the jurisdiction of GAOSONG Township in Fuzhou; in 1983, Luoyun commune was changed into Luoyun township; in September 1992, Hexing township was merged into Luoyun township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Luo Yun township was 18020. As of June 2020, Luoyun village has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 1 Guangming Road, luoyunba community.
Luoyun rural food crops are mainly rice, corn and soybean; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry; industry is mainly ore mining. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, Luo Yun was already known as the jurisdiction of GAOSONG Township, Fuzhou.
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to luoyunli, Fuzhou.
In 1931, Luoyun township was established.
In 1958, Luoyun township was changed into Luoyun commune.
In 1983, Luoyun commune was changed into Luoyun township.
In September 1992, Hexing township was merged into Luoyun township.
