Qicha town
Qicha Town, subordinate to Changjiang Li Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the southeast of Changjiang Li Autonomous County, adjacent to Risha County in the East, Changhua River in the four sides, Wangxia Township in the South and Shilu town in the north. The town people's government is 23 kilometers away from the county seat of Changjiang Li Autonomous County. The total area is 128.13 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it was the dayuandong of Changhua County. In July 2002, it was renamed qicha town. By the end of 2018, the population of seven fork registered residence was 12813. As of June 2020, qicha town has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Qiaocun.
At the end of 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in qicha town reached 2000 yuan. By the end of 2018, qicha town had 4 industrial enterprises and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was Changhua County.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was returned to Changjiang Li Autonomous County.
In 1935, it was assigned to Ledong County.
In 1952, it was assigned to the Second District of Dongfang County.
In October 1958, Shilu commune was established and merged into Shilu commune.
In December 1958, Changgan County, Dongfang County and Baisha County were merged into Dongfang County (then called big county) and belonged to Dongfang County.
In August 1959, Shilu commune was divided into seven communes.
In May 1961, Changjiang Li Autonomous County was reestablished and qicha commune was reestablished.
