From 1952 to 1957, it belonged to Duxi Township, the Sixth District of Guizhu county (shashashao District).
In September 1958, Yuemei commune was established by merging Duxi, Daba, Gaochao and Maijia communes, and the production brigade of Jiandu laying was established. In December of the same year, Tuanjie, Yuemei and Yuejin communes were merged into shawen commune, belonging to Wudang District of Guiyang city.
