Hongguang town

Hongguang Township, belonging to Bayan County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northwest of Bayan County, adjacent to Wanfa town and Xinglong Town in the East, Baikui Town, Hulan District, Harbin City in the south, Lianhua Town, Hulan District, Harbin city across the Nihe River in the west, and Baoshan Town, Beilin District, Suihua City in the north. In 2018, the area was 186.23 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 40087.

In March 1962, Hongguang commune was established by 12 brigades of Hongguang and Jianzhong in the communes of xixinglong and Yushu. In February 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In March 2001, Yushu township was incorporated into the city.

By the end of 2019, Hongguang rural has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages.
