Huangmao town is located in the north central part of Wuxuan County in Central Guangxi, with flat terrain. It is adjacent to liufengshan forest farm in the East, Qianjiang River in the west, Xingbin District, Ertang town in the South and Jinji Township in the north. It is the central town in the north of Wuxuan County. Covering an area of 125.8 square kilometers, the town has 8 administrative villages, 24 natural villages and 152 villager groups, including Zhoujun, Yucun, Huangmao, Xingui, Dalang, Gencun, Shangwen and shange.
historical origin
In the early Qing Dynasty, Huangmao belonged to xixiangli. It was changed into Huangmao District in the first year of Xuantong. In the second year of the Republic of China, it was divided into Jinji District, Huangmao Township in the 22nd year of the Republic of China, Huangmao District in 1950, Huangmao Township in 1958, Huangmao people's commune in 1959, Huangmao District in 1962, and Huangmao people's commune in 1969. In October 1984, the commune was abolished and the people's Government of Huangmao township was established, Set up the town people's government. The town government is located in Huangmao street, 20 kilometers away from Wuxuan County in the South and 75 kilometers away from Liuzhou in the north.
