Oudong Township
Oudong township is 36 kilometers away from the county, 38 kilometers away from Yizhou City in the north and 80 kilometers away from Liuzhou City in the East. Now it has jurisdiction over 4 villager committees and 54 natural villages. There are more than 3900 households in the township, including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Mulao and other nationalities, of which Zhuang accounts for 87% of the total population.
It is adjacent to hezhai village, Pingnan Township, Yizhou City in the East, Jingliu village, Datang town in the southeast, Lanlong village, shibie Town, Yizhou City in the west, Masi Township in the South and Luofu village, Luodong Township, Yizhou City in the north. The Oudong Committee of the CPC and the township people's government are stationed in Oudong street. There are water conservancy station and forest farm in Ou Dong.

Historical evolution
Township territory, the Qing Dynasty for kiln ash, is Xincheng County. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), Gaili and Gongdeli (Masi) were put under the jurisdiction of Yishan County, and the next year was under the jurisdiction of limiaofen county. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), after the abolition of Li Miao County, it was part of the Sixth District of Yishan county. Before August 1952, it belonged to the Fourth District of Yishan county. On September 1 of the same year, it belonged to Xincheng County and became part of the seventh district of Xincheng County. The District People's government first stationed in Ou Dong Street and then moved to Masi street. In the second half of 1984, the town of zhioudong was designated from Masi commune. In 1990, there were 58 natural villages, 44 villager committees and 112 villager groups in the township, with 3068 households and 14688 people, including 7049 women and 6770 labor force.

The township has convenient transportation, extending in all directions, is located in the intersection of 323 national highway and Liuxin highway. The road from Oudong to Xincheng to be reconstructed is located in its territory. The starting point of the road is located in Oudong Township, Xincheng County, connecting with the second class road from Datang to Yizhou, passing through Xincun, Oudong forest farm, Xinle, Tonggu, Masi, Guoda, Liantuan, Longsuo, Qianhong, Xintang and other places. Oudong township is a hilly and mountainous area with slightly higher terrain. The mountains are Southeast trending. The soil is red soil and limestone soil. It is rich in manganese, iron ore and other mineral resources. The township is rich in forest resources, with a total forest area of 2261.5 hectares (including 1592.5 hectares of Oudong forest farm), with a forest coverage rate of 25.8%, ranking first in all towns in the county.

Oudong Forest Farm
Oudong forest farm was founded in September 1958. It is located in the north of Xincheng County, across 5 villagers' committees and 28 natural villages of Masi and Oudong townships, and at the junction of shibie township of Yizhou City in the north. It is a timber forest farm mainly planted with Pinus koraiensis. The operating area is 2693.08 hectares, and the existing forest area is 212415 TQA. There are six functional departments, two branches and two forest protection stations, and there are 133 cadres and workers.
Since 1987, the field has strengthened leadership, actively grasped forest fire prevention work, increased forest fire prevention infrastructure construction, strengthened man-made fire source management, relied on local village Party and government leaders and forest masses to carry out comprehensive joint prevention, built forest fire prevention network, reduced fire incidence, achieved good results of no forest fire for 18 consecutive years, and won the title of autonomous region and municipal level for many times The title of advanced unit of forest fire prevention ensures the safety of forest resources.
The situation of agriculture, rural areas and farmers
There are 19313 mu of cultivated land in the township, including 3856 mu of paddy field, 15458 mu of dry land, and 1.21 mu of cultivated land per capita. Grain crops are mainly corn and rice, and economic crops are sugarcane, silkworm, peanut, soybean, rapeseed, etc. In 2002, the planting area of sugarcane reached 16900 mu, the area of mulberry garden was 6350 mu, the goal of 1 mu of sugarcane per capita and 2 mu of mulberry per household was achieved, and 1201 mu of farmland was converted to forest. In 2010, Oudong Township comprehensively promoted sugarcane planting in the whole Township by setting up a comprehensive coordination group and an inspection and acceptance group, and carrying out science and technology in the countryside. The newly planted area of sugarcane was 2451 mu, the machine cultivated area was 1636 mu, the newly planted area was 581.5 mu, and the updated area was 96.2 mu. Garbage disposal
The first township waste incineration plant in Xincheng County, Oudong Township waste incineration plant, was officially put into use on December 30, 2009. The incineration plant covers an area of 0.5 mu, with a total investment of more than 30000 yuan. The incinerator was strongly supported by Xincheng CPPCC and Oudong chamber of Commerce, and was built under the leadership of the local Party committee and government. The incinerator is harmless to the garbage, which facilitates the daily garbage disposal of residents such as Oudong street, primary and secondary schools, and government units where the township government is located, and greatly improves the appearance of the village.
