Sanwu township is located in the central and southern part of Xingbin District, 109 ° 4 ′ 27 ″ - 109 ° 17 ′ 51 ″ e, 23 ° 25 ′ 16 ″ - 23 ° 35 ′ 3 ″ n, connecting Mengcun Township, Sishan Township and Shiya Township in the East, Wushan Township and Xiaopingyang town in the south, taodeng Township in the west, Liangjiang Township and Chengxiang Township in the north. The total area is 216 square kilometers, accounting for 4.95% of the total area of Xingbin district. Sanwu street, where the township government is located, is 19.6 km away from the urban area.
At the beginning of 2016, according to guizheng Letter No. 21 issued by the people's Government of the autonomous region, with the approval of the people's Government of the autonomous region, Sanwu township of Xingbin district was changed from township system to town system, and changed to Sanwu town. History of construction
In the Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Huaiyuan belonged to Longping regiment of Nanyili under the jurisdiction of Yanzhou. in the early years of the Republic of China, it was set up as a district. In 1935, the district was changed to Sanwu Township, with jurisdiction over 8 village offices and 69 natural villages. When the people's Republic of China was founded, boundary townships were under the jurisdiction of three or five townships. When the district was established in the first half of 1951, the district government was located in Pingtang. In November 1952, the residence of the district office was moved to San Wu street. In December 1955, the six districts were renamed as three five district offices. In the spring of 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was set up. The boundary township was separated from the three five townships. In August of the same year, the "35" people's commune was established. In June 1961, the management area was set up and the third five commune was under the jurisdiction of Qingling management area. In September 1962, the commune was abolished and the district system was restored. The three five and boundary communes were merged into the three five District Office. In March 1968, the third and Fifth District Revolutionary Committee was established. In January 1969, the third five District Revolutionary Committee was renamed the third five people's commune Revolutionary Committee. In July 1979, the third five commune set up a boundary management area, which was later abolished. in October 1984, the commune was removed and the township was established, which has remained unchanged. It has jurisdiction over 15 village committees and 114 natural villages, including Sanwu, Bangshan, Pingtang, Qun'an, Taiping, Fangcun, jiefen, juntun, Liantang, zhainuan, Gudeng, Shangli, TaoMa and Beikou. The terrain of the township is high in the West and low in the East. The East, West and central parts are mostly Rocky Mountains and karst caves.
