Bobai town
Bobai Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Bobai County, Yulin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Bobai County. It is adjacent to Jingkou Town, Santan Town, Yashan Town, Shuiming Town, LANGPING town and Shatin town of Fumian district. It is closest to Jingkou town and has the same language and culture. With a total area of 144.7 square kilometers, it is the seat of Bobai County Government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county.

History of construction
Today, Bobai town is a combination of former Bobai Town, former Chengxiang town and former Lvzhu town. Among them, the former Bobai town was formerly Chengguan Town, the former Chengxiang town was formerly Chengxiang Township, and the former Lvzhu town was formerly Kemu township.
After 1949, Chengguan town was set up in the former Bobai Town, and Chengxiang township was set up in the former Chengxiang town.
In June 1950, Chengxiang Township, Liandong township (the predecessor of Jingkou Township and Sanyu township) and Malu Township were abolished and Chengxiang District was established.
In January 1958, Chengxiang District was abolished and Chengxiang Township, Chengbei Township, Jingkou Township and Sanyu Township were set up. In August of the same year, four townships merged and Chengxiang (five-star) commune was established.
In June 1961, Chengxiang commune was divided into Chengxiang commune, Chengbei commune, Jingkou commune and Sanyu commune.
In July 1962, Chengxiang, Chengbei, Jingkou and Sanyu communes were abolished and merged into Chengxiang District.
In 1966, Chengguan town was changed into Bobai town.
In January 1969, Chengxiang District was changed into Chengxiang commune.
In 1984, Chengxiang commune was restored to Chengxiang township.
In April 1987, Chengxiang township was divided into Jingkou Township and Sanyu township. In October of the same year, Kemu township was established in LANGPING township.
In 1992, Chengxiang township was abolished and Chengxiang town was established.
In 1993, Kemu township was renamed Lvzhu town.
In March 2002, Chengxiang town was abolished and merged into Bobai town.
In June 2005, Lvzhu town was abolished and incorporated into Bobai town.

In 1975, the Chengguan brigade of Bobai town was changed into Chengxiao brigade and Chengdong brigade.
In 1989, Bobai town had two neighborhood committees in Chengdong street and Chengnan street, two village offices in Chengjiao and Chengdong, 38 villager groups and 64 natural villages. Chengxiang village governs 14 village offices and 400 villager groups in hushuang, Jiulong, Guihua, Chunshi, Xijiang, Chengxi, Xinzhong, Libu, guantian, Daliang, Matang, Fushi, Mudong and Jinmu. Kemu village governs five administrative villages, including Lvzhu, Kemu, Zhongjiang, maojiang and Zhujiang, and 154 villager groups.
In January 2012, nine communities including Dongsheng, Jiangbin, Chengguan, Jinxiu, Xicheng, Lvzhu, shihetang, Changgangling and Matouling were established in Bobai town.
In 2013, New Ke Street community was established in Bobai town.
