Wulin town

Wulin town is located on the South Bank of Xunjiang River, 35 kilometers southeast of Pingnan County. It borders Tianping town in Tengxian County in the East, Da'an Town in the south, Shangdu town in the West and Danzhu town across the river in the north, with a total area of 46.63 square kilometers. It governs one community and six administrative villages with a total population of 26461 (2017). In 2014, the town realized fixed assets investment of 360 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%; the total output value of industries above designated size was 186 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25%; the per capita net income of farmers was 8375 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%; the investment of 208 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%; the total agricultural output value was 269 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%.

The transportation of the town is convenient. Nanning Guangzhou high-speed railway passes through the town. The second-class highway from Daxin to Wulin and the second-class highway to port have been completed and opened to traffic. The second-class highway to Wulin is under construction. Wulin port, the second largest inland port of Guigang, is located in the town. Its unique geographical advantages make it an important node for the country to implement the Xijiang economic belt and Guangxi to build the golden waterway of Xijiang River. It is also one of the main positions for Pingnan County to build the development strategy of "port industry city integration". The town has more than 50 transport ships of more than 1000 tons and more than 100 small tonnage transport ships, with a total tonnage of more than 100000 tons. Historical evolution

Wulin town has a long history. As early as the time of emperor mu of Jin Dynasty (345-361), the first county of Pingnan County was set up. Wucheng county was located in Wulin town.
