Xiaolangdi Town, located in the northwest of Mengjin County, is a hilly and mountainous area, adjacent to Chengguan town and Baihe Town in the East, Changbao town and Hengshui town in the south, Xin'an County in the west, and Jiyuan City across the Yellow River in the north. The town is 16.4 km long from east to west, 13 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 111.07 square kilometers, a total population of 35998 (2017), a cultivated area of 4865 hectares and a per capita cultivated area of 0.21 hectares. Historical evolution

Matun commune was established in 1956, township was changed in 1984, and town was established in 1990. In 1997, it covers an area of 63.9 square kilometers and has a population of 31000. It has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages including Xiaolangdi, Shimen, siyuanpo, Liuzhuang, heguanpo, dongguanzhuang, Liangcun, Matun, Mingda, beidasu, nanddasu, dongdasu, bangou, Yagou, zhujiapo, XiangLiu, wangwan, miaohu, HUPO and lijialing.
