Shiyong town is subordinate to Pubei County of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the southeast of Pubei County, bordering Lingjiao town of Bobai County in the East, Quzhang town of Hepu County in the south, Quanshui town in the west, Anshi town in the north, 62 km away from Pubei County in the north and 252 km away from Nanning City in the capital.
As of 2012, Shiyong town has one community and seven administrative villages with a total population of 21323 (2017); the total area of the town is 45.59 square kilometers, including 44.59 square kilometers of land, accounting for 98.2%; and 1 square kilometers of water, accounting for 1.8%. In 2015, the town's GDP reached 240 million yuan.
Shiyong town is located in the south subtropical monsoon climate zone, with warm climate and abundant rainfall. It is rich in sugarcane, banana, pineapple, peanut and other agricultural products. There are Yuezhou ancient city ruins, xianghanping former residence and other places of interest in the town.
Historical evolution
In 471, the first seven years of the Song Dynasty, Linzhang county was established in Yuezhou. The state and county governments were located in yangtianwo, poziping village, Shiyong town. In 1828, Shi Yong was a part of Shizhou regiment in 16 regiment bureaus in Hepu County. from the beginning of the Republic of China to the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926), Shi Yong was a public bureau under the former Shizhou District of Hepu County. In the autumn of 1930, the abandoned district was transformed into a township, and Shiyong was a township. In 1961, Shi Yong was a commune in Zhanghuang district.
