Purple hat town

Zimao town is a town under the jurisdiction of Jinjiang in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. It is 6 kilometers away from Quanzhou City. It is located in the west of Quanzhou City and the northernmost part of Jinjiang City. It is connected with Licheng District, Qingmeng Development Zone and Chidian town in the East. It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 22 natural villages.

Purple hat town is named because it is located at the south foot of Purple Hat Mountain. The town was originally a state-owned zimaoshan farm, which was established in 1984 and changed from township to town in 1992. With complete infrastructure construction, Fuzhou Xiamen high-speed railway and Quanzhou three high-speed shuttle, Quanzhou golf course is located in the center of the whole town, with excellent forest coverage and good social development.

In 2017, the administrative area was 2042 hectares, with a permanent population of 16651.

In October 2019, purple hat town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

The administrative area of Zimao town has been changed many times, and it once belonged to Yidu and 32du in history,

Before 1949, it belonged to Meixi town of Jinjiang county and Xiayang township of Nan'an county.

After 1950, Jinjiang county was first under the jurisdiction of four districts and then five districts, and Nan'an county was under the jurisdiction of the 15th district.

In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinjiang Cizao commune and Nan'an Guanqiao commune.

In 1960, the state-owned zimaoshan farm was established by yuanban, Hupan, Tangtou, Wuan production brigade under Jinjiang Cizao commune, Zixing, Xiamao production brigade under Nan'an Guanqiao commune, and eight administrative districts under the jurisdiction of yuanban, Hupan village, Tangtou, Wuan, Yangdian, Zihu, Xiamao, Zixing, and four agricultural pastures including tiezao, Honghu, Hongxia, Ziling.

In 1984, Zimao township was built and eight administrative districts including yuanban were changed into administrative villages. Tiezao and other four farms still belong to zimaoshan farm.

In 1992, the township was removed and built into a town, which is located in Houcuo street.

Zimao town is located 6 kilometers southwest of Quanzhou City, in the northwest of Jinjiang City, close to Licheng District and Qingmeng development zone. It is 14 km away from Quanzhou EMU station, 12 km away from Quanzhou Jinjiang Airport and 8 km away from Quanzhou Houzhu port. Fengchi highway, which connects with Quanzhou Erythrina bridge in the west, Quanzhou South Yingbin Avenue, Quanzhou San Expressway and Fuzhou Xiamen high-speed railway pass through the town in the northeast.
