Yangdi Township

Yangdi Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Yangshuo County, bordering Xingping town in the East, Putao town in the southwest, Dabu Township and Caoping Township in the north, with a total area of 102.8 km. In 1931, Yangdi township was established. In October 1984, it was renamed Yangdi township. By the end of 2019, there are 3242 households in Yangdi Township, with a total population of 12162; it governs one community and seven administrative villages, and the township government is stationed in yangdiwei.

In 2018, the GDP of Yangdi township was 196.7 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%; the disposable income of rural residents was 9381 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10%.

History of construction

In 1931, Yangdi township was established.

After liberation, from November 1949 to February 1950, it was still called Yangdi township.

From February 1950 to December 1955, the township was removed and divided into districts, which were divided into the third and fourth districts respectively.

From December 1957 to August 1958, the district was withdrawn and Yangdi township was renamed Zhongnan township (the Township People's government was set up in Zhongcun).

In August 1958, the people's commune was established. Zhongnan township was divided into grape people's Commune and Xingping people's commune.

In October 1968, Yangdi people's commune was set up in Xingping and Putao districts.

In October 1984, it was renamed Yangdi township.

By the end of 2019, Yangdi village has jurisdiction over one Yangdi community and seven administrative villages: Yangdi village, Langzhou village, Langshi village, dishuidong village, Zhongnan village, Tangjia village and Shiling village, a total of 38 natural villages, and the township government is stationed in yangdiwei.

There are 612.33 hectares of cultivated land in Yangdi Township, including 424.13 hectares of paddy field and 188.20 hectares of dry land. Mineral resources include calcite (scientific name heavy calcium carbonate), which is mainly distributed in Tangjia village committee, covering an area of 40 square kilometers.
