Puyi Township
Puyi Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Yangshuo County, adjacent to fufuxin village in the north, Fuxing Township in Pingle across the river in the southeast, Lipu County in the southwest, Gaotian town and Yangshuo in the northwest, covering an area of 70.2 square kilometers. Puyi township was established in 1931. In October 1984, it was renamed Puyi township. By the end of 2019, Puyi township has a total population of 12997 people, including Han, Zhuang, Yao, Miao and other nationalities; it has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages, and the township government is stationed in puyiwei.
In 2018, Puyi Township realized fixed assets investment of 60.56 million yuan; organizational fiscal revenue of 891600 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%; tax revenue of 2.68 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%; per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents were 37791 yuan and 16655 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1% and 10.7% respectively.
History of construction
Puyi township was established in 1931.
After liberation, from November 1949 to February 1950, it was still called Puyi township.
From February 1950 to 1955, it was under the jurisdiction of the second district and the Sixth District respectively.
In December 1957, Puyi township was restored.
In August 1958, it belonged to welfare commune and Takata commune.
In October 1968, Puyi people's commune was established by separating from welfare commune and Takata commune.
In October 1984, it was renamed Puyi township.

History and culture
The origin of place names
Puyi township was originally called xiaowanwei. In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, Mo Ziyi, a member of xiaowanju, donated money to build it. Later, it was named Puyi because of the meaning of Putian's benefit.
Chinese traditional villages
On August 26, 2013, Liugong village of Puyi township was listed in the second batch of Chinese traditional villages list by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development of the people's Republic of China, the Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China and the Ministry of finance of the people's Republic of China.
Folk customs
August 16 in Puyi street of Puyi township is a traditional folk festival in memory of Guan Yu. Liugong village's "October incense" originated in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, intended to commemorate the historical heroes worshipped in the "Shuangqi Palace". After liberation, the activities of "October incense" festival became more abundant, including Nuo dance performance, dragon and lion dance, yangko dance, color tune singing and basketball match.

Puyi pearl embroidery has many colors such as yellow, green and blue, and various patterns such as flowers, birds, insects and fish. It is mainly used for clothing and stage effects, such as fashion, ancient clothes and performance clothes. Pearl embroidery technology in Puyi has a certain scale of manual production, and enjoys a certain reputation.
