History and culture
Reasons for concern: the buildings of hundreds of years record the rise and fall of Liuzhou commercial port. Some architectural styles of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China can be found here for a long time.
The status quo of old houses
There are only two buildings left in Luobu Town, one is Zhenhe street, the other is Mingfeng street. Although it has a history of more than 100 years, when we enter Luobu Town, these buildings are not very conspicuous, on the contrary, it makes people feel a kind of desolation.
There are only seven or eight old houses left in Zhenhe street. They are typical brick and wooden structures of the Qing Dynasty. They usually do business in the front and live in the back or upstairs. However, except for one or two of these houses, which are used for community activities for the elderly and rented to others for business, no one has lived in them for a long time.
Due to the lack of popularity, these old houses are dilapidated, losing the antique flavor and color of the century old buildings. Master Xie Jiancheng, a town resident who rents the old house No. 36 as a barber shop, told reporters that the House No. 36 he rents is still intact. It is said that he once lived in a family surnamed Luo. Compared with other old houses, this house is relatively small. Its facade is full of wood structure. There is a door in the middle, and there are many round holes at the top and bottom of the door. Wooden columns with thick bowl openings are inserted into the round holes at the top and bottom of the door. This is the typical gate in the old times. The interior structure is very simple. The 4-5-meter-high wooden building and the 9-level wooden ladder are the panoramic view of the interior. The upstairs is empty. The only highlight is an old electric fan hanging from the floor of the building. Master Xie said: "when I rented this house, I had this ceiling fan. It is said that it was a product of the Republic of China. I don't know whether it is true or false. Anyway, it can still be used now."
To say that the old houses in Luobu town look like something, there are only two or three houses in Mingfeng street. One of the buildings with the house number 74 is very well preserved. It is said that it was the former residence of Huang Zhihua, the magistrate of Maping county (formerly known as Liuzhou in the Qing Dynasty), and it was the residence of Liang Meijun's grandmother, who was over 90 years old. Walking into the old house, you can see the very solid blue brick and wood structure. As soon as you enter the gate, the design of the wooden building structure is very eye-catching. The color of the wooden wall in the middle is dim because of the age. According to the introduction, this kind of wooden wall is generally used to place spiritual places and sacrifice. This kind of design was very popular in the buildings at that time, and the architectural style is basically the same for families with some strength. On the right side of the wooden wall is a wooden staircase which goes up to the second floor. The upstairs is full of sundries and no one lives there. On the left side is a corridor which leads to several bedrooms. A gate with a thickness of 15cm and a weight of more than 400kg is equipped with the old common wooden bolt lock.
Although the whole building is simple, we can still imagine the rich life of people at that time.
The story of the old house
Among these buildings, the most famous old house is a mud house. It is famous not because of its construction structure, but because of its owner, Shen Hongying.
According to Xie Hanjiang, the former head of Luobu cultural station, the mud house has a history of 150 years and was the birthplace of Shen Hongying. The structure of the mud house is more simple. It is a mud tile house structure. The wall is made of three kinds of sand. It is particularly strong. It has survived a hundred years of wind and rain. The mud house is 73 year old Zeng Fengchao's grandmother who lives alone.
Who is Shen Hongying? Xie Hanjiang said that according to historical records, Shen Hongying (1871-1938) was born in Luorong, Guangxi, from the green forest. After the revolution of 1911, the members of the alliance in Liuzhou instigated an uprising. Shen Hongying led dozens of people to take charge of the uprising. In 1913, he joined the "second revolution" and took refuge with Lu Rongting. In 1920, he became the commander in chief of the third army of the Guangdong Guangxi border defense army. In 1924, he served as the commander-in-chief of the Guangxi army. After occupying Guilin and Liuzhou, he became the commander-in-chief of the Guangxi army. In 1925, two attacks on Li Zongren's army were defeated, and then he died in Hong Kong.
Shen Hongying's evaluation in history is not very high, but he once ruled Guangxi in the period of the old GUI warlords. He led tens of thousands of GUI troops galloping in Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan and Jiangxi, which can also be regarded as a generation of heroes. In Luobu, Shen Hongying is a legendary figure, and his name is a household name. During the period of the Republic of China, the center of Luobu Street (now Luobu Street) was Shen Hongying's "Shen mansion". Unfortunately, this building was destroyed by Japanese fire in 1945.
In Luobu Town, Shen Hongying's buildings abound, such as the lakeside by the Luobu River, the Qingshiban Street hundreds of meters long, and the Great Pavilion at wubeiling. Unfortunately, almost all of these buildings were destroyed in the "Cultural Revolution", and only the mud house where he was born was completely preserved.
The future of the old house
"Frankly speaking, there are no plans and plans for these 100 year old buildings, and it is not known whether they will be demolished or retained." When it comes to the planning of old houses, Liu Qing, mayor of Luobu Town, said that there are two main reasons. One is that the property right is not clear, and the other is that whether there is any historical value to be preserved has not yet been demonstrated.
Liu Qing told reporters that after several changes in these buildings, it is not clear who the real estate belongs to. Moreover, most of them have not been inhabited for a long time. Someone once suggested that they should be demolished and built separately. In the case of unclear property rights, rash demolition will cause a lot of disputes. As for whether it has preserved historical value, it needs to be appraised by the relevant experts on historical relics. Only the status quo can be maintained.
Liu Qing believes that in fact, Luobu has a good history. If it can be well planned and constructed, it can be built into a historical and cultural spot like Huangyao ancient town. It is worth noting that Liudong New District has issued the decision on accelerating the economic and social development of Luobu Town, Luorong Town, positioning the functions of Luobu town as "regional industrial logistics base, Riverside business residential supporting service area, urban agricultural demonstration area", and integrating its infrastructure into the infrastructure construction of Liudong New District, which has brought a good opportunity to accelerate the development of Luobu town. However, the history and culture of Luobu town has not become an important development element, and there is still no direction for the future of the century old buildings.
Regionalization adjustment
On February 22, 2012, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved to adjust the administrative divisions of Yufeng District and Liubei District of Liuzhou City, and put Luobu Town, Liubei District of Liuzhou City as a whole under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District of Liuzhou city.
