Legang town

Located in the south of Leping and the North Bank of Le'an River in Jiangxi Province, Legang town is the largest vegetable production base in Leping City. Historical evolution

The town is named after its location. The resident port was named Sanxi village because it was located at the intersection of three streams. Later, it was renamed port in the late Qing Dynasty because of the formation of local products distribution center and developed water transportation. Later, it was renamed Legang because of its duplicate name. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Gongan and Mingshan townships.
