Ducheng town
Ducheng Town, located in the South Bank of the middle reaches of Xijiang River, is the seat of Yunfu Yunnan county government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county. The total area of the town is 92.6 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 32.6 square kilometers. In 2017, the total population is 81562; it governs 11 villages and 5 communities. Most of the population in the area is Han nationality, with 14 ethnic minorities.
Ducheng town is adjacent to Xijiang River in the East, with high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast. It is located in Guangdong and Guangxi, with convenient water transportation. During the Anti Japanese War, Guangzhou and the coastal areas became enemy occupied areas. Some people in the Pearl River Delta fled here. The capital city was full of business travelers and the market trade flourished for a time. It was known as "little Guangzhou". In April 1950, with the approval of the people's Government of Guangdong Province, the county people's government moved from old urban construction town of Yunan County to Ducheng town.
In 2006, Ducheng was awarded as "China's high-quality Shatangju base town", "Guangdong battery machinery manufacturing professional town", in 2010, it was rated as "Guangdong civilized town"; in 2011, it was rated as "the most competitive town (street) in Yunfu City".

Historical evolution
Ducheng town was built in the early Jin Dynasty. In the first year of Taikang (280), it was governed by duluo county.
In the Yuan Jia period of the southern and Northern Dynasties (about 424), the capital county was set up in Kaicheng county.
In 972, it was merged into Duanxi county.
Ming Hongwu nine years (1376) the establishment of urban and rural areas.
In 1470, the inspection department of the capital was set up.
In the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1577), it was changed to Xining county.
