Xishan town

Xishan town is located in the southwest of Lianping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the middle reaches of Lianping River, connecting Yuanshan town in the north, Tianyuan Town in the southeast and Longjie town in the southwest. It is 12 kilometers away from the center of the county. The North-South trend runs through national highway 105, the Guangzhou Jiangxi expressway runs through the whole town, and the Kunming Shantou Expressway passes through Xishan. The town covers an area of 110.99 square kilometers (2017), with a total population of 12975 people (2017). It governs nine village (neighborhood) committees, 191 natural villages and 15 grass-roots party branches in Chashan, Qishan, fengpan, runkeng, Baigao, Madong, Xixi, Dongshui and Dongluo.

Sufficient resources

The cultivated land area is 11429 mu, and the forest land area is about 130000 mu. The forest resources are abundant, mainly including pine and fir. Iron ore has large reserves, high grade and is easy to exploit. It is not only a typical agricultural town, but also one of the south vegetable bases of our county. it mainly grows rice, as well as fruits, sericulture, pigs and three birds. Industry is divided into building materials, bamboo and wood products and agricultural products processing industries. With an average annual temperature of 19 ℃ and an average annual rainfall of 1700mm, the area is rich in water resources. There is a hydropower station (Shikeng Hydropower Station) in the area.

Folk folk songs
