Mabugang town

Mabugang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Longchuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, the north central part of Longchuan County, and the upper reaches of Dongjiang River. It is adjacent to Luofu Town, Xingning City, Meizhou in the East, Beiling town in the west, Yan town in the south, Shangping town and Xi'ao town in the north. It is the commercial, cultural, health, transportation and economic center of the upper half of Longchuan County.

Historical evolution

Mabugang town has a long history of doing business. In 1629, Wang Yuanfu and Wang Baoshan, the fifth grandson of the Ming Dynasty, led their children and grandchildren to set up several shops in the villager's commodity exchange. In the early Qing Dynasty, mabugang town was established as Wei Town. Each brother named it yuanbaowei, which was later renamed mabugang Wei.
