Liqu town
Liquu town is subordinate to Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of Baota District, adjacent to Yaodian town in the East, Chuankou town in the south, Qiaogou town and hezhuangping town in the west, Fengzhuang town and Qinghuabian town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 19.5 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 17 kilometers, with a total area of 141.35 square kilometers.
There are two national key cultural relics protection units lushanmao site and Fenglin County site in liquu Town, and one former residence of Yang Buhao, a municipal cultural relics protection unit. There is one new rural area in zhangxingzhuang, a district level tourist attraction.
As of June 2020, liquu town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 24 administrative villages. As of 2018, Li Qu town registered residence population of 27023 people. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of liqu town reached 36 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 78 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 34 million yuan.
Historical evolution
During the period from Jiaqing to Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1796-1861), Li Jiaqu was named after Li jiabian because of his surname Li. Later, Li Jiaqu was named after Li jiabian because he lived in earth kilns on both sides of the canal.
In February 1942, liqu city was established.
In 1955, liqu township was established.
In 1958, it was changed into a commune.
In 1984, it was changed into a town.
In November 2001, nianzhuang township was abolished and merged into liquu town.

Liquu town is located in the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau in Northern Shaanxi, with high terrain in the north, West and South and low terrain in the East. In the south, there are sporadic secondary forests and the vegetation is good. The geomorphic difference between the north and the south is obvious. The average altitude is 1115 meters. The highest point in the territory is located in jiugoumao, nianzhuang gouzhang shijiapan village, with an altitude of 1315 meters; the lowest point is located in Daling mountain, gaojiagou, with an altitude of 915 meters.
