Yuecheng town is located in the southeast of Deqing County, Zhaoqing City, on the North Bank of the middle reaches of Xijiang River, bordering Lubu town of Gaoyao City in the East, Jiushi and Fengcun town of the county in the west, Bozhi town of the county in the north, and Yunfu City across the river in the South. The town is the central town and an important industrial town of Deqing County, with convenient water and land transportation. National Highway 321 and provincial highway yuehuai run through the town, 48 km away from the county by land, 51 km away from Zhaoqing in the East and 144 km away from Guangzhou by East. It is rich in limestone and porcelain clay resources in surrounding areas. The famous Dragon Mother ancestral temple in Yuecheng is located in Weizhen. The town has a total area of 206.23 square kilometers (2017), including 197600 mu of mountainous area and 20000 mu of cultivated land.
