Yanshou Yao nationality township is a nationality township under the jurisdiction of Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It is located in the southwest of Rucheng County. Historical evolution

It is said that in ancient times, there was a Yao official who committed a crime here. The county magistrate sentenced him to death in yanshouwei. Later, the Yao official was saved from death because of atonement. Therefore, the Yao people named the fairground yanshouwei, and the township named it yanshouwei. It belonged to the third district in 1950 and the seventh district in 1952. In 1956, it was called Yanshou township. In 1958, it was changed into fighting people's commune.
