Xicheng Township, subordinate to Lichuan County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest of Lichuan County, adjacent to Zhangxi Township in the East, Hongcun town in the north, Taihe Town in Nanfeng County in the west, Huangfang Township in Jianning County in Fujian Province in the south, and Wuyishan Scenic spot. With an area of 106 square kilometers, it has 8 administrative villages and 1 community, and 92 villager groups. In late 2018, there were 10 thousand and 800 registered residence population in Xicheng township.
The main food crops in Xicheng township are rice, and the main economic crops are watermelon, flue-cured tobacco, white lotus, vegetables, etc. By the end of 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Xicheng Township and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Xicheng township was under the jurisdiction of five districts. In 1956, Xicheng town was established. In 1958, Xicheng people's commune was established and merged into Hongcun commune in the same year. In 1961, Hongcun commune was divided into Xicheng commune and Wutong commune. In 1964, Xicheng commune and Wutong commune were merged and called Xicheng commune. In 1984, Xicheng commune was changed into Xicheng township.

Xicheng township is located in the middle of the Wuyi Mountains, high in the southeast and low in the northwest. The highest point of Wangjiazhai in changlan mountain is 903 meters above sea level, and the lowest point of shitoudui in Meiyuan Village is 120 meters above sea level.

The largest river in the territory is Xicheng River, which flows from south to north through Zhangyuan, Hezhang, Xinqiao, Yukeng and other villages, with a length of 19.5km, a drainage area of 86km2 and an average annual flow of 2.5m3/s. The main tributaries are Zhangxi River, Fengxi River, Luxi River, etc.
