History and culture
cultural relics and historic sites
Luling Shiju is located at the foot of biling mountain in Pingshan district. It was built in 1932 and covers an area of 3500 square meters. The name of Luling Shiju comes from the three paintings on the Menlou with the theme of "deer". From an architectural point of view, Luling Shiju is an "alternative" of Hakka enclosed houses. It is similar to the two row house structure and three independent courtyard layout of Han people's ancestral halls. Due to the limited funds, only one turret has been completed, which makes Luling Shiju a single building rare in Hakka enclosed houses Status. The five story fort is for emergency use. The walls of the fort are old and strong. There are two downward inclined gun holes at the four corners of each floor. Combined with the solid wall of the house and the fire-proof moon pool (Fengshui pool), it shows the inherent strong defensive concept of Hakka enclosed houses.
dialect
The Hakka dialect is used by the aborigines in biling street.
