Bantian street, belonging to Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located at the junction of Futian, Longgang and Longhua districts in the central part of Shenzhen. It is located in the geometric center of Shenzhen Guanhui. It is connected with Buji and Jihua streets in the East, Luohu District in the south, Longhua Street in the West and Guanhu street in Longhua District in the north, covering an area of 28.51 square kilometers. As of October 2019, Bantian street has 16 communities under its jurisdiction. As of June 2020, the number of permanent residents in Bantian streets was about 664 thousand, and the registered residence population was about 76 thousand.
Bantian street is a demonstration base for the integration of science and technology industry and urban development in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. In 2017, Bantian street had 362 state-level high-tech enterprises, with a total of more than 100000 patents, and 22 key laboratories and technology centers, which ranked among the core innovation platforms of "Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong Macao science and technology innovation corridor".
In 2018, the GDP of Bantian Street reached 240.855 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 18.7%, accounting for 56.17% of Longgang District.
Historical evolution
According to the records of Baoan county annals (1997 edition), Bantian street once belonged to Nanjiao county (Xia, Shang and Zhou), Panyu county (Qin) and BOLUO county (Han and Three Kingdoms). Jin Xianhe six years (332), Tang Zhide two years (757), belong to Baoan county. The second year of Zhide in Tang Dynasty (757) and the first year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1573) belong to Dongguan county. In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), it belongs to Xin'an County. from 1666 to 1669, it belongs to Dongguan county. From 1669 to 1914, it belongs to Xin'an County. from 1914 to January 1979, it belonged to Bao'an county. from January 1979 to October 1981, it belongs to Shenzhen. from October 1981 to December 1992, it belongs to Bao'an county. In October 1949, Buji township was subordinate to Bao'an county. In April of the next year, Baoan county was reorganized into four districts, and Buji township was subordinate to the third district. In October 1952, the district level system was expanded and Buji township was changed into the second district. In July 1953, Buji township was changed into the eighth district. In the autumn of 1955, the eighth district was renamed Buji District, which belongs to Buji township. In March 1958, Buji township was directly under the jurisdiction of Bao'an county. In October of the same year, Buji Township and hepinghu Township were abolished and red flag commune was established. In January of the next year, the red flag commune was renamed Buji commune. In July 1983, Buji commune was changed into Buji district. In August 1986, Buji district was changed into a town. In January 1993, Bao'an county was divided into Bao'an District and Longgang District. Buji Town belongs to Longgang District. In 2004, Bao'an District and Longgang District set up streets instead of towns, while Buji sub district office was still under the jurisdiction of Longgang District. In April 2006, Buji street was divided into three parts, and Bantian street was established.

The origin of place names
Bantian was once called "Pan Tian" and later changed to "Bantian". The origin of Sakata's name has something to do with its topography. The original meaning of Bantian is barren land in the mountains. In Hakka, there is a saying of "one Bantian, one Bantian". According to the shape of the terrain, people later called this migration land Bantian.

National Intangible Cultural Heritage -- Bantian Yongsheng hall dance Qilin
Sakata Yongsheng hall dancing Qilin is a festival custom of Hakka people in Sakata. It is named according to the meaning of "Qilin always wins". It was created in 1840 by the founder of Sakata Yongsheng hall dancing Qilin. It is mainly spread in Bantian street, Longgang District, Shenzhen, Xixiang street, Bao'an District, etc. it has a history of more than 170 years and has been handed down for 12 generations. Kylin dance in Yongsheng hall mainly includes kylin dance and martial arts performance. Kirin dance mainly simulates the movements and situations of cats and tigers shaking their heads, wagging their tails, frolicking and playing, and integrates martial arts footwork to perform the routines of Kirin coming out of the hole, chewing their feet, getting Kirin's tail, dozing off, swinging, kicking, picking, daffodils, shiziqing, Wren garden and Kirin turning over the king. Martial arts performances include boxing, broadsword, cudgel, iron fork, internal needle and duel.

Zhang's ancestral hall is located on the side of banxuegang Avenue. The ancestral hall was built by Bayan, the fifth son of chenglian. Qingqian hall, the main hall of Zhang's ancestral hall, is dedicated to the tablets of Zhang's ancestors. On both sides of the hall, there is a couplet: "from the village to Bao'an, I went back to three provinces from Changle", which reflects the history of the continuous migration of Zhang's family in Bantian. Ye's ancestral hall is located at No. 8, Xiyi lane, Xiawei, Bantian. The Ye family moved from Henan to Fujian, then to Meizhou, and moved to Bantian during the reign of Kangxi, which has a history of 370 years. Ye's ancestral hall is the ancestral hall built by Ye Sheng, the ninth generation of Ye's descendants in Bantian. Due to historical reasons, the ancestral hall has been relocated several times. It was demolished during the Anti Japanese War and the "Cultural Revolution" period, and then repaired many times, maintaining the inheritance and prosperity of a family. Jiuchang building, located in banxing street, laowei village, Bantian community, is a Hakka turret. In 1926, Zhang Jiugong, a descendant of Zhang's family in Bantian, built Yuchang building here. Later, his family immigrated to Malaysia. Jiuchang building is composed of a turret and a two-story building. The turret is 12 meters high and covers an area of more than 1000 square meters. During the Anti Japanese War, jiuchanglou was the stronghold of the Anti Japanese guerrillas in Bantian, where they often met and held meetings.
