Qinglian street is located along national highway 318 in the east of Gaoping urban planning area. The town is 7km away from the center of Gaoping urban area, covering an area of 16.7km2. Laojun town in the East, Jinshui Township in the south, Qingxi sub district office in the West and Qingsong Township in the north are located in shallow hilly terrain, with an average altitude of 415.6 meters in the East and West. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The cultivated area is 5574.5 mu. The forest area is 9000 mu, mainly pine and cypress, covering 41%. National Highway 318 passes through the city, where the three expressways of Chengdu, Nanchong, Guang'an and the ring road meet. No.19 tourist bus goes directly to Baishan scenic spot, the front gate of Lingyun Mountain National Forest Park. Rural roads crisscross and connect with each other, becoming the east gate of Nanchong traffic. In 1993, it was under the jurisdiction of Gaoping town. In August 1994, Qinglian township was restored, with 9 administrative villages and 59 villager groups under its jurisdiction, with a total population of 9727. On June 18, 2000, Qinglian township was abolished and Qinglian town was built. In 2007, it has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 59 villager groups, 1 neighborhood committee community and 5 resident groups, with a total population of 11417. It mainly produces rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, rape and soybean.

On October 25, 2019, Nanchong Municipal People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some streets in Gaoping District and Jialing district (Nan Fu Han [2019] No. 73): Qingsong street was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Qinglian street, and Qinglian Street office was located at No. 2 Qingzheng street.

In 1994, the total grain output was 3729 tons. There are 7 streets and 1000 square meters of farmers' market. In 1995, 2100 mu of fish were raised in large area, and 200 mu of watermelon base was built. Qixingqiao village has passed the acceptance of Xiaokang village by the district Party committee and the district government. In 1996, a 3800 square meter comprehensive building of Qinglian primary school was built. In 2000, greenhouse vegetables increased to 300 mu, four village goat bases and 145 Mu fruit forest sightseeing agricultural belt were built, 3200 mu of fish were raised on the water surface, and 600 mu of rice, fruit and fishery bases were built. In 2001, 500000 yuan was invested in land acquisition and demolition to expand the subgrade of the road from Bajiao Datian to baishanhu (reservoir) of 1678m; the road from baishanhu (reservoir) to baishandapingpo of 1442m long and 4m wide was newly built. Since 2003, 300000 yuan has been invested in the renovation of the appearance of farmhouse along the Baishan scenic area, which has improved the taste and reception capacity of farmhouse. From 2005 to 2006, baishangou village was listed as a pilot village of new rural construction in the urban area, with 1300 meters of renovated channels, 600 meters of newly built channels, 3 kilometers of hardened village access roads, 8.6 kilometers of stone slab roads for households, and 163 households were implemented the "three constructions, four modernizations and five reforms" project. The town's traffic mileage has reached 35.6 kilometers, self flowing irrigation canals, shanpingtang, new Shihe weirs have been renovated, 580 drinking water storage wells have been drilled, and three centralized water supply stations have been built. The drinking water problems of people and livestock in Hanshan village have been basically solved. In 2006, it invested 2 million yuan to harden the 3.5m wide and 3120m long pavement from Bajiao Datian to Baishan Daping. Houses were demolished and Baishan gate and parking lot were built to ensure that Lingyun mountain officially opened on September 29, 2007 to receive tourists. By 2007, it will introduce owners to develop 2000 mu of flower and tree bases and 20 varieties of valuable flowers and trees; build 600 mu of rice fruit fish base, 500 mu of rest rice fish culture, 100 mu of high standard fish culture and 100 mu of characteristic culture; consolidate and develop 850 mu of vegetable base, build 145 mu of fruit forest corridor in 2 villages and 800 mu of new poplar. In that year, the Gross Regional Product and the gross agricultural product were 78.2 million yuan and 31.3 million yuan, respectively, an increase of 173.7% and 149.4% over 1993. The fiscal revenue was 1.6126 million yuan, an increase of 126.3% over 1993. The per capita net income of farmers was 3840 yuan, double that of 1993. The residents of the town have installed natural gas, built one telecommunication, one Unicom and one mobile tower station respectively, covered the whole town with mobile phone signals, connected the whole town with closed-circuit television, transformed the rural power grid, and developed other social undertakings in an all-round way.
