Tongfan town is located at the junction of Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, 20 kilometers away from Guangfeng District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to SONGFENG in the East, Lingdi in the South and panting Township, Pucheng County, Fujian Province, Shatian in the West and quanbo in the north. Historical evolution
During the second Civil Revolutionary War, the district Soviet government was set up in Houlong village, and the township Soviet government was set up in tongjiafan, wangjiacun, shijiati and Bigu. Tongfan and Bigu account for one of the original six poverty-stricken townships (towns) in the county. Tongfan has been out of poverty in 1994 and is the main producing area of yellow tobacco, goat, kudzu flour and Guangfeng bamboo hat. There is Maoxi sheep farm. Tongfan market is one of the provincial border trade markets. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, shijiati and Xiashe belonged to the thirteen capitals of Xincheng Township, and wangjiacun to the fourteen capitals. In 1949, on the eve of liberation, Tongfan township was called, with 15 baos and 209 Jias under its jurisdiction. In the early days of liberation, it belonged to four districts. In April 1950, it was divided into Tongfan Township, Shenkeng Township and Wang Township, belonging to Shatin District. In August 1950, it was divided into six small townships, yuzhai, Xiashe, Houlong, Wangjia, Dazhou and Tongfan, still belonging to Shatian district. In 1956, Tongfan, Wangjia and yuzhai were merged.
