Shimen street is a street in Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, which was separated from Shijing street in February 2014. Shimen street was officially established on February 28, 2014. It is located in the west of Baiyun District, at the junction of Guangzhou and Foshan, with a total area of 19.8 square kilometers and a total population of 103900. It has jurisdiction over four economic associations: Jiaoxin village, Hongxing Village, Yagang village and Chaoyang village, six community neighborhood committees: Hongxing Lianxing community, Hongxing tinggang community, Jiaoxin community, Chaoyang community, Yagang South Community and Yagang North Community, and two street affiliated companies: Shijing economic and Trade Industrial Company and Shijing machinery factory .

Shimen sub district office is now located at 289 shisha Road, with 5 departments including party and government office, urban management section, social affairs management (Civil Affairs) section, comprehensive stability maintenance and petition section, population and family planning office, and 3 institutions including floating personnel and rental housing management service center, urban management and community Service Center, and labor and social security service center.

Jurisdiction

Shimen sub district office: Hongxing tinggang community, Hongxing Lianxing community, Jiaoxin community, Chaoyang community, Yagang South Community and Yagang North community are under the jurisdiction of the former Shijing sub district office. The sub district office is located at 288 shisha road.

Reflection of Shimen

"Shimen huizhao" was once known as Yangcheng, and was selected as the "eight sceneries of Yangcheng" in Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, hence the name of Shimen street.
