Barigasitai Township, belonging to Horqin right-wing Front Banner of Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Horqin right-wing Front Banner, adjacent to Horqin town in the East, Russian town in the south, Dashizhai town in the West and guiliuhe town in the north. The area of the village of Kuri gsester township is 924.69 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the registered residence population was 49957.
In June, 1946, balag ganutuk was established; on May 4, 1956, balag ganutuk township was changed; in 1958, balag ganutuk commune was changed; in 1984, balag ganutuk township was renamed; on May 31, 2018, balag gastai township was renamed. As of June 2020, there are 3 neighborhood committees, 36 village committees and 1 forest farm living area under the jurisdiction of barygasitai township.
In 2017, there were 34 enterprises and 350 employees in barigasitai township; in 2018, there were 164 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in barigasitai township.
Historical evolution
In June 1946, balagnutuk was established.
On May 4, 1956, it was changed to balag village.
In 1958, it was changed into balag commune.
In 1984, it was renamed balag village.
In 2004, the balag office was set up.
In 2011, the three offices of balagebad, historic sites and Halahai were merged into balagebad township.
On May 31, 2018, it was renamed as barygastai township.
