Shimashan street is located in Lianyuan city. On May 6, 2020, with the approval of Hunan Provincial People's government and the approval of the Provincial Department of civil affairs, Shimashan town was cancelled; four communities and 22 villages were separated from the original Shimashan Town, and Shimashan street was established; four communities and 22 villages were under the jurisdiction of Shimashan street, and the street office was located in Shimei community (the original Shimashan Town People's Government).
