Shahe Town
Shahe Town, located in the suburb of Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, borders Shajing Town of Ganzhou District in the East, nijiaying Township in the south, Xinhua Town in the west, yannuan Township and local state-owned Wuquan forest farm in the north. It covers an area of 98.39 square kilometers. In 2018, the registered residence of Shahe town was 43324.
In 1926, the second district was set up in Shahebao. In November 1955, the district was withdrawn and Shahe, Dongzhai and Gonghe were the townships of Shahe. In 1957, the township was transformed into a town. From February to March 1983, Shahe commune was abolished and Shahe township was established. In December 1998, the township was removed to build a town. In January 2005, Chengguan town was abolished, and the residents committees of Shahe street, Xiguan Street, Dongguan Street, Lemin and Fukang were incorporated into Shahe Town. As of June 2020, Shahe Town has jurisdiction over 5 communities and 13 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Shahe Town is located in Xiguan village.
In 2018, there were 13 industrial enterprises and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Shahe Town.
Historical evolution
In 1926, the second district was set up in Shahebao.
In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), Shahe township was established in three villages including Fulin and five villages including feng'an. The next year, it was merged into three villages including Fulin and other villages as Shahe district.
In 1936, it was changed to township.
In 1937, it merged with Dewei to form the second district.
In 1941, Shahe township was established.
In September 1949, the third district was set up.
In 1952, two townships, Mingmai and Yongji, were separated and merged into three townships, namely Xiaotun, Wuquan and Liangli.
In November 1955, the district was withdrawn and Shahe, Dongzhai and Gonghe were the townships of Shahe.
In 1957, the township was transformed into a town.
In 1958, it was included in Zhangye county.
In 1962, when Linze County was restored, Shahe commune was established.
In 1965, the garden, forward two teams were included.
In 1969, Huayin and lanjiabao teams were included.
In 1970, the Chawan brigade was added.
From February to March 1983, Shahe commune was abolished and Shahe township was established.
In December 1998, the township was removed to build a town.
In January 2005, Chengguan town was abolished, and the residents committees of Shahe street, Xiguan Street, Dongguan Street, Lemin and Fukang were incorporated into Shahe Town.
