Shuishi town

Shuishi town of Ningyuan county is located in the southwest of the county, at the north foot of Jiuyi mountain, 18 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Lengshui town and Wanjing town in the East, Jiuyi Yao Township in the south, simaqiao town in Daoxian County in the west, Shunling town and Tiantang town in the north.

Water towns rely on a water river to bend down and irrigate the towns. It is the symbolic son and mother river of water towns. Shuishi reservoir is an important tourist route in Shuishi city. Historical evolution

The township uses the name of water city. Shuishi, formerly known as shuidapu, was once known as "shuidapu" because of the torrential rain in the upper reaches of the city, which caused a flash flood and washed away houses, people and animals along the street. Shuishi town originally belonged to Shuishi district. When the district was removed and the township was built in 1995, it was formed by the merger of Shuishui Town, xianghuapu Township, Dajie Township and Meigang township.
