Baoding National High tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the 54 national high tech zones approved by the State Council in 1992, and also an important part of Beijing Tianjin Shijiazhuang high tech industrial belt.

Wind power sector. China Power Valley has nearly 50 independent R & D, manufacturing and testing enterprises covering wind turbine blades, complete machines, control and other key equipment. It has formed a complete wind power industry chain with the highest degree of industrial agglomeration and the most innovative ability in China. Among them, AVIC Huiteng, the largest wind turbine blade manufacturer with independent intellectual property rights in China, has successfully served more than 30 large wind farms in China. In 2007, the sales revenue was 1.5 billion yuan, accounting for 90% of domestic blades. Huide wind power plant, Guodian united power plant and Tianwei wind power plant were built rapidly.
