Historical evolution
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shaoyang township was the 25th capital of Xincheng township. On the eve of liberation, it was called Shaoyang Township, with jurisdiction over 11bao and 112jia. In the early days of liberation, it belonged to the first district. In April 1950, it was divided into Daxi Township and Pingyang Township, belonging to Jiyan district. In July 1956, it was divided into Pingyang Township and Shuangyang township. In April 1957, the two townships were merged and named Pingyang Township, which was directly under the county. Shengli Weimin commune was established in November 1958. In March 1959, it was renamed Pingyang people's commune. It was incorporated into Hengshan people's commune in October 1968. Stratigraphic geology
stratum
The exposed strata in Shaoyang Township include Sinian, Sinian, Cambrian, Ordovician, Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous and Quaternary. Jurassic and Cretaceous are the most widely distributed. The Cretaceous strata are distributed in the central, Western and Southern Hills.
geological structure
In the linglow mountain area, the outcrops are mainly purplish red glutenite, shale, and occasionally basalt erupted by Sinian volcanic activity. Its distribution range is second only to the Cretaceous strata, and the main rocks on the surface are tuff, tuffaceous sandstone, conglomerate and granite. The quaternary system is distributed on both sides of Xinjiang River, Fengxi River and other tributaries. In addition, there are limestone, shale, quartz feldspar sandstone and so on. There are a large area of Yanshanian granite and Mesozoic volcanic eruption clastic rocks in the East-West uplift belt of North Wuyishan. Cathaysian structural belt is the main structural form in Guangfeng county. It is mainly composed of a series of fold, thrust and fracture layers with strike of 50 ° to 60 ° and compression fracture zone. There are three large concentrated zones: (1) yaoshancun Kengtou fault. Four NE trending compression and torsion faults, jianshannao, Kengtou, lutingshan and Xiayuan, constitute the Sinian system in the belt. The Cambrian strata are distributed in long strips and control the development of the smaller Shicun syncline. The width of the structure is about 8 km and it is about 50 km long in the county. The West part is covered by red beds. (2) paishan Anshan fault. From paishan, luoxitang and majiaqiao, there are three large compressional and compressional torsional faults, and the belt is also well developed to various smaller derived faults, which control the distribution of Carboniferous and Permian strata. The lithofacies at both ends of the belt changes greatly. In the northwest, it is mainly Sinian volcanic rocks, and in the southeast, it is Mesozoic continental clastic rocks. The structural bandwidth is about 10 km, and the length is 24 km( 3) Dadongkeng tongxishan fault. It is composed of the largest NE trending tongxishan compression torsion fault and the second grade fault in the county. The volcanic clastic rocks of the middle Mesozoic and the intrusive clastic rocks of the Yanshanian granites erupted in a large area. The Cathaysian structural belt is the latest structural system in the county. The main structural trace is fault, and the old structural system is reformed and compounded. There is an obvious structural dense zone in the area of Huqiao shaguling in Beixian county. The belt is mainly composed of Huqiao, dashandi and Wuyingshan compression and torsion faults, and it is long strip distribution to Sinian and Cambrian strata. The overall strike is 25 ° to 35 ° with a width of 9 km and a length of 30 km.
