Zhenghe Town, belonging to Guiyang County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the southeast of Guiyang County, bordering Baohe Township, Beihu District in the East, Taihe Town in the south, Lufeng street in the West and Zhangshi town in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 14 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 18 km, with a total area of 106.94 square kilometers (2017).

Zhenghe town is 20km away from Chenzhou downtown and 16km away from Chenzhou west station in the East. Xiamen Chengdu expressway, Chenzhou Avenue and x090 highway run through the whole area. It is the east gate of Guiyang County and the bridgehead of Rongchen Dajiang strategy.

Zhenghe town got its name because the original residence of the people's government was located in zhenghewei.

In 1950, it was Rongfeng town of Guiyang County. In 1958, it belonged to Chengguan people's commune. In April 1971, Chengguan people's commune set up 14 rural brigades and suburban people's communes.
